FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITY

Adjira Scoop joined EM Group Curaçao in March 2022 as a Junior Compliance Officer. 

She assists her compliance colleagues with corporate secretary duties, annual compliance audits, transaction monitoring, client file reviews, writing of policies and client onboarding.  

Her focus lies on regulatory requirements and developing regulatory compliance policies.  

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Adjira obtained her bachelor’s degree in law, focusing on Dutch law at the University of Dutch Caribbean. She wrote her thesis about the Central Bank's national ordinances to supervise financial companies and institutions.  

She plans to continue her (pre-)master’s in law at the University of Curaçao.  

Before joining our team, she completed a 10-month internship in the Supervision Regulations department at the Central Bank of Curacao and St. Maarten.
