responsibilities

Kees-Jan Avis first joined EM Group Netherlands in March 2021 as Director and was appointed to its current position as Managing Director at the beginning of 2022.

He was responsible for setting up our Dutch office and has been instrumental in its success. The office was established in October 2021 to cater to the newly launched Dutch online gaming market. It provides regulatory compliance solutions to operators applying for a license in the Netherlands.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
& EDUCATION

Kees-Jan obtained his bachelor’s degree in management, economics and law from the HES in Amsterdam and a bachelor’s degree in private law from the University of Amsterdam. He also has a master’s in international business transactions & law from Nyenrode University in Utrecht.

Prior to joining EM Group, Kees-Jan gained 15 years’ experience within the regulatory professional services industry, both in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. He has worked in various legal and managerial roles within international banks, investment firms and other services providers.
