FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITY

Mattia Cataldo joined our team in Amsterdam in December 2022 as a Junior Legal Account Manager. In this role, he assists with the corporate and legal matters of a portfolio of clients, all active, or starting, in the online gaming and e-business sector. 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Mattia obtained his law degree from the University of Bologna in 2020, with a thesis in financial law on the use of hybrid securities in the corporate restructuring process. In 2019, he studied as an exchange student at Erasmus University of Rotterdam, with a focus on corporate crimes.  

He started his career in the banking sector, specializing in financial law and investor relations. Mattia worked as a trainee lawyer at a law firm specializing in banking law in Bologna, Italy. He then progressed to junior legal manager at Banca IFIS where he focused on insolvency and financial law.  

In January 2022, he started as a junior legal advisor for a Dutch consulting firm DTS B.V., in the tax and legal department. In this position, he assisted international firms in cross border establishment operations and with the incorporation of their Dutch limited companies (Besloten Vennootschap).  

In September 2022, Mattia enrolled in the master's program in commercial and company law at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, where he was appointed to the board of the Trade and Transport Law Association, a student networking association from the Erasmus School of Law.
