EM Group’s Highlights at SiGMA Malta 2024
On November 11, EM Group proudly joined the 10th anniversary of the prestigious SiGMA Europe conference in Malta. As far as the SiGMA Malta 10th anniversary highlights go, we had several! What started in 2014 as a vision by Eman Pulis has grown into a global phenomenon, bringing together the best in iGaming, emerging tech, digital health, and affiliate marketing. SiGMA has cemented its reputation as the flagship event for the industry—a true leader of iGaming gatherings worldwide.
Malta, with its rich history, stunning coastline, and our own Dutch-inspired office in Sliema, remains a cornerstone of the iGaming world. The island hosted over 80,000 industry leaders and 1,200 exhibitors, all contributing to Malta’s status as a key hub for iGaming. From the bustling exhibition floors to packed networking events, SiGMA 2024 was as vibrant as ever, overflowing with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and innovate.
Celebrating 10 Years of SiGMA: Key moments during the week
While the festivities of SiGMA Malta were on, EM Group offered a refreshing way to explore the island: through our Cruise & Connect event. We welcomed clients, colleagues, and ambassadors aboard a Turkish gulet boat for an unforgettable evening cruising the stunning Valletta harbor. Against the backdrop of Malta’s illuminated skyline, we shared good food, music, and meaningful conversations. It was a moment to connect on a deeper level and celebrate the successes of our partners and the industry we serve.
In addition, the week also included our participation in the GCB workshop, where we gained invaluable insights on enhancing compliance strategies in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. Key takeaways included the increasing importance of adapting to new global standards for responsible gaming and the need for robust anti-money laundering (AML) practices to mitigate emerging risks. These discussions underscored the critical role of collaboration with regulators to ensure transparency and maintain industry integrity.
